Displacement from drilling fluid to completion brine is a very important stage of the well construction. Further completion running and setting at place, setting the gravel packs, flowback and production are dependent on displacement. Displacement from one fluid to another requires proper design: circulation pressures estimations, well control and hole stability evaluation, compatibility and properties of fluids, available  rig equipment and capabilities.

Kaz M-I offers full range of engineering of displacement (based on type of displacement, used drilling fluids, well geometry, completion type and well objectives, rig design); providing products and rig management while displacement process, fluids and returns management. 
 

The displacement process is a complex job, that involves whole rig crew, engineering personnel on the rig, it may require significant volumes of fluids to manage. Kaz MI team has deep knowledge and best engineering software (VCS ®) to simulate the displacement and ensure all fluids are effectively displaced from the well at the planning stage, recommend the volumes and properties of the displacement pills. Field engineers are very experienced and can effectively manage high volume displacement from fluid to fluid following instructions and implementing worldwide experience of M-I Swaco at customers’ locations.
